After The Weather

After The Weather is a music project created by Rollin Thorne.

The songs are written over time, shaped by personal experience rather than a specific place or moment. Influenced by rock, melodic songwriting and subtle atmospheric elements, the project focuses on mood, emotion and simplicity.

Some songs were finished recently; others waited years before finding their final form. After The Weather exists as a space for those songs — once the noise has passed, once things feel clearer.

Rollin Thorne

Rollin Thorne is a Lima-born musician and singer-songwriter currently based in Portugal. He began his music career in 2019 with the single My Heart In Your Hands, which was a semifinalist in the International Songwriting Competition. His debut album Songs of My Broken Hours was recorded in Peru and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London. He followed with A Bullet Between My Eyes (2021) and his first Spanish-language album, Lima-Lisboa, in 2022. His 2023 single The Essence of Reality reflects on our transformative era. Rollin has performed live in Portugal, including a concert at Palácio Baldaya in Lisbon.

He now launches his new music project, After The Weather, a songwriting project built around time and perspective. The songs begin as simple compositions — melodies, lyrics, fragments — written over many years. They are revisited later, reshaped with distance and clarity, until they reach a form that feels complete.

After The Weather is not about capturing a moment, but about returning to it. About what remains once the noise fades and things settle. It exists as a place for those songs.
